pink
The plan for Thursday afternoon was that we were going to have a hair-cutter lady come over to Suzies to get our hairs did. I have come to love Thursdays in the summer the way I love Fridays during the rest of the year. After putting in 40 hours in 4 days, it's time to relax. Well, the hair lady changed her mind and wanted us to come to her house. That would mean hauling 10+ kids to someone else's house. The hair lady decided that she wasn't down with that idea since she has um...a pool. I guess normal people don't let kids in their pool? Whatevs.
I didn't even really want a haircut, I wanted something different though. Either highlights or just a trim or some long bangs or something. But we really just wanted to hang out and get girlified. Teddy had been saying that she was going to get barbie-pink streaks in her hair and Kendall seemed intrigued by that one so when I picked her up to go to suzies with me to not-get-our-hairs-did but drink beer instead, we ran by the beauty supply and picked up a package of pink dye. The girls went upstairs and did their hair. Teddy got pink streaks and Kendall dyed the tips of her hair pink. Both girls looked fabulous dahhling. So then they talked Tessie into letting them streak her hair with pink too. Ummm, by then Suzie and I realized that pink was most likely necessary for us as well. So I have a pink streak, Suzie has one and Isabella has one.
We drove home to fix dinner and I have to say that when I got home and saw my streak, I was tickled pink. /cheese
