jank, just jank.
I was up at 4:30 this morning. It might be because I was asleep before 9 last night even though I wanted to watch Lost.
*
Dan and I have a date this weekend. It's way overdue. I'm hoping we can either check out the new pub or have sushi. I don't want to go to a movie. The movie previews I've seen don't look so great these days.
*
I've got to get back into my pampered chef stuff. I have one party lined up but I really want to do more. The new stuff comes out in March, so if you're interested, please just drop me a line!
*
My ears are still popping and my throat is still sore but I'm trying to ignore it. I have a few more days worth of pills to pop and at that point I'll re-assess.
*
Max got his first haircut and he's so handsome. I think he looks like Brad Pitt, but kendall says I'm nuts. I just might be.
*
I should really be getting ready for work instead of typing random stuff.

aye aye captain
This morning the kids got a 2 hour delay because of the dusting of snow that fell overnight. I still had to go in on time. It was an unrestful night because Max woke up at 1 or something and Dan brought him to our bed. He kicked my ribs and fussed and wiggled until I got up with him around 4:30am. So once I finally got him back to sleep and headed out to work, I treated myself and my poor unfed belly with my favorite breakfast ever. I went to the Texaco on Lafayette Blvd and had a steak, egg and cheese sandwich. I removed the bread and just ate the meat but I feel confident that I won't need to eat again until dinner time. If you're a Fredericksburg native you might be familiar with Captain Sid's. You used to be able to go there and get the most enormous sandwiches and subs there for just a few bucks. Well, those folks now operate in the back of Texaco. It's a well kept secret known by mostly blue collar workers and well, me. I love the food. You can get a half pound cheeseburger for like $4 and it's so big that you won't eat for another 3 days. Steak and cheese? Don't even pretend that you'll be able to finish it...you won't. And honestly, you might be tempted to order onion rings or fries, but save your $1...you will not want them. They taste awesome but your sandwich will overwhelm you so much that you'll be all like "what fries?".
There. Consider yourself informed. Now if you ever need help finding this place and want me to show you, I can be convinced.
