The night that Paige is coming.
There are a lot of happenings in the world today. I won an auction on Ebay so that Jake can have a pair of new shoes. I'm paying almost as much for shipping as I am for the shoes but he really wants them and his other ones are falling apart. That's enough to warrent buying them.
Kendall had her tryouts for gymnastics today and the coach said "within 2 classes she'll be in advanced I'm sure, she just needs to learn to kick out of that back bend". So she went home and within 20 minutes was able to do it without any help or hesitation. My daughter is amazing to me.
Adrianne and Trent get their baby tonight or tomorrow...she's coming. I'm so glad that she'll be here soon and I can't wait to see her. She's so lucky because her family rocks and she's going to be completely loved. Now, let's see if she's got that sass that her mama's got and the kind smile of her dad. I bet she will have it all.
This, however, is what happens when kids grow up:

Once upon a time in your wildest dream.
Today I ate enough food for 2 weeks. I have recently discovered that there are many things I'd like to be able to bank for days when I may need them. I'd like to bank sleep from my days off to use on these long nights at work. I'd like to bank a beer buzz from a night when I've had just a few too many so that maybe on a night when I can't drink, I'd have a bit of buzz to pull from the "bank". Sex ..... yeah.
Spring is running rampant and there's just nothing bad to say. We just had 4 great days. The boys camped. Kendall planted stuff. I relaxed and caught up w/ friends. We're all doing well.
I'm reading "If I Live to be 100" by Neenah Ellis. It's good easy reading. I am so happy to NOT be getting fired over certifications but rumors of more layoffs are flying about so I do need to stop reading fiction and start reading MCSA stuff. Soon.

rainy days and mondays blahblhablahblah etc.
The first night of night shift wasn't so horrible at all. I did get tired right about the time to go home but the kiddies let me sleep soundly for 5.5 hours and I feel really good now. I don't feel dead or like a zombie yet but I imagine after 4 days of it I might.
It's spring break and I feel bad because I'm not doing anything special w/ the kids but Jake and Trev leave Thursday for camping and I'll find something fun to keep Kendall occupied I'm sure. Saturday we're going to the dinner theater w/ the cousins and Nannie and then I'm gonna play some poke-her with Adrianne dahlin, Trent , Tree and Pottar. I might have to take the girl with me if I can't find a sitter but she'll be good.
I'm happy beyond expectation today.

Easter
I got my wish. I'm working night shift now. 6pm-6am Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday. It might seem daft at first but I just know that the extra time for my kids is going to be worth it. The 12% night differential won't be too shabby either.
Easter was pretty low key. We had our dinner last week and James had the kids this weekend so I just picked them up and we went to church. After that, I slept and the kids played til time to go back to James's house. I feel like maybe Kendall got jipped, she was the only kid looking forward to Easter and we didn't really do it up right.
I had a really fun date this weekend and then I got to hang w/ Tree and her family. I'd never had yorkshire pudding before so that was cool. Tree's family rocks.
2 hours left to work. I'm gonna watch Boondock Saints.
