I'm blue (aboodeeaboodie)
This past week I painted my kitchen BLUE. It's such an awful shade of royal blue that clashes horridly with my dining room. I can't stand it but THERE IT IS. Everytime I walk into the kitchen I gasp in shock and awe. I hate it with the intensity of a million white hot suns.

Tomorrow night I'm going to see the Caps play and that's got me excited. I've never been in a skybox before and that sounds kinda nifty to me. I only dread the ride home afterwards.

My neighbor just came back from NYC and she brought me a statue of liberty lighter and an I <3 NY t shirt. I told her that her gifts are as near and dear to my heart as my kitchen paint and we laughed a lot. *sigh*

Today Trevor came home sick with an earache. James picked him up from school and dropped him at my house. Then after school Kendall did not get off of the bus. Jake called to give me the news. After 15 frantic minutes of searching for her on the part of the school and me, I called the house and Kendall answered the phone. Her bus driver missed the stop and had to bring her back. Luckily all is well and my heart rate has almost returned to normal.

what to do, what to do
to do:
-rent movies for movie night w/ kids.
-finish packing jake's stuff for camp tomorrow
-feed stacy's dogs
-watch Ellen at 11
-wash a load of darks
-decide on a color for the kitchen paint
-go to penny's and exchange trev's easter pants
-go to dmv and turn in old tags
-go to lowes for paint
done:
-responded to all unanswered email
-painted the little dining room table
-grocery shopped
-took kids to school
-found jake's forms for confirmation class that I swore he'd lost (and I had)
-changed the insurance from my old car to the new one.

Bittersweet
This morning I passed the final test for my a+/net+ certs and I'm all done. Just 6 days shy of the date when they'd fire me if I hadn't passed. No sweat. This was the hardest test and I barely passed, but I did and now it's all over.
I also got a new car. I'm so stoked about it. It's a honda civic hybrid and it's gonna save me dough...I just know it. I like driving it too because it has a cd player. I could have saved myself 23k and just bought a new cd player I guess but this far exceeds that :)
So here I am in my pj's at 6:30pm thinking about how much less pressure I have now that I won't be fired and I can't stop thinking of everything I've neglected over the past 6 months to do it. I want to paint my kitchen and clean the basement and get the leaves out of the yard and even help Kendallpops plant flowers and I want to read a real book, one that's not about computers. It's almost overwhelming.
The one thing I have neglected the most is my diet. I need to hop back on the bandwagon and drop 10 lbs or so. It's just been such a stressful time.
I have lots to look forward to this summer with Tree's baby coming and our vacation in June. I just know that this year is going to be a good one, most likely full of changes....good ones.

Fun Friday
Today Tree's coming down and we're going to pick up my new long skinny table for the dining womb. Then we're gonna shop for baby clothes and THEN once the kids get out of school at 12:30 we're going to eat at the dragon buffet with Stacy. I love love love today.

Songs in my head while my daughter bathes and my son eats pancakes
It's that maroon5 song that goes "this love has taken its toll. you said goodbye too many times befoOoOre". I love it but hate it for invading my sleep. It was the backdrop for my dreams last night and I want it gone now. I'll forever think of dodging bullets and trying to protect the kids while we're on our own streets only they have tanks on them. Fucked up.
Instead of telling my kids a goodnight story, I've taken to rapping to them. It's funny but they get so giggly that they won't sleep. Maybe I should start singing opera?
In the month of March I have 2 baby showers and a wedding shower to go to. Good thing I'm getting a bonus Friday.

Keep on truckin like a novacane hurricane.
I forgot that I had a dental appointment scheduled for today til Cindy, the receptionist at the dentist's office, called yesterday all perky n shit. grr. I couldn't remember if I had a filling or a root canal scheduled for today since I need both. OF COURSE, it was the root canal. I love my dentist as much as you can love a dentist. He asked about my kids today. I told him they're fine. He said "so why'd we have kids anyway?". I laughed and told him that I had mine because I needed someone to play with. He said "you know, that's why my dad had us...we were his entertainment." I think he's in the midst of some pre-midlife stuff. He always uses the phrase "if I were single..." and I can tell that he wishes he was.
So anyway, here I am back at work. My neck still hurts like a mofo from my crick that seems more like a pinched nerve. My mouth is numb from the shot the dentist gave me. I got my yearly performance review which was really good and my bonus is going to be nice too. It's not as much as it should have been because I was written up over those bastard certifications. I don't have a bad attitude about it because a bonus is sort of like a will...if you get something, it is extra. But I do sort of resemble maryjo buttafucco today. I can't wait to be unnumb.
My weekend starts tonight at 6pm. I'm going to study all weekend and hopefully take my exam next Friday. I have sunken back into the world of non-dating it appears and it kind of sucks. I was gung-ho there for a while but I don't know what happened. Oh well...such is life.

Cancun-ness
I just spent 5 days in Cancun. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It's not like I've been many places to compare it to though.
The mexican people were so cool. The Verio people were even cool.
I have this crik in my neck that's about to make me insane right now. I can't even get Alex to come rub my neck and he's the closest person to me here. I can't exactly ask random co-workers to rub my neck but he's being a butthead about it. Que sera sera.
I keep thinking I have more to say. I haven't dated much lately so leaves very little to babble about other than the kids who are doing very well. I think I might start writing here instead of Monkeybard again because...eh, I donno.
Tree's baby is coming in a few months. I'm ready now. I get to be there. This'll be the first baby I've seen born in person. Very cool indeed.
