pumpkins

Today I made pumpkin shaped cookies and then we carved our pumpkins tonight. I'm drying out the pumpkin seeds so we can bake them tomorrow. I've never tried it before but I've always wanted to.

Halloween is my second least favorite holiday only following New Years. I guess you could add Valentines day in there too....aah shit, basically I just like Christmas and Thanksgiving. The rest of those holidays suck.

The kids are stoked for trick or treating and I'm ok with it since this year we're going with Stacy and her kids around the neighborhood. Jake is going with Max because this is his last year of being a little beggar on Halloween. He'll be a teenager in less than a month. Yikes.

I didn't study much today, a little though. I guess every little bit counts but quite honestly I really needed a decompression day. I got a haircut and did laundry.

Watching the news folks talk about the sniper trials really brings back the fear that we all felt a year ago. I remember vividly wondering if my kids would miss trick or treating. It sucks that those people are given a trial. I wish I'd found them first, I would have shot them dead and saved everyone the cost of the trial and housing them.

Another solar flare happened today. It's almost scary. We can't even really notice it's going on, but there's a chance we can see the northern lights because of it. I've been digging the super sunsets lately.

Eddie Izzard was even more fantastic in person. It was so fun to go with Tree and her mom and Nancy. We all love him and it definately did not disappoint.

Work....welp, it sucks. I'm trying to reorganize my brain so that I don't dread it. I think I can.

sew buttons

This week was interesting for sure. I was the supervisor at work and I will be for 3 more weeks....it's not been too bad, just exhausting. Today was the first day off and man-o-man, I needed the decompression. I spent today studying and entertaining my dad. He had to get his car worked on so I picked him up and brought him here for a bit. We watched Cops and Married with Children. Such bonding. During his visit he explained to me that he has to raise my rent by $50 a month. It's not unreasonable, just a little deflating. I'll gladly pay the money and that'll be that. I must appear to be living too well. In reality, I'm always broke. Woopie!

Kessie and Tree and I are going to write a book for nanowrimo. I can't fucking wait. I've needed something creative to do for a while and this is going to be so fun.

I'm kicking some butt on the transcender study tests for A+, a few more days of cramming it in and I think I'll be ready to test. *pray*

nobody

Your nobody called today, she hung up when I asked her name. Well I wonder, does she think she's being clever? (cle-ver..ooOOoo)

That song is on the radio right now, it's probably been 15 years since I heard it!

Anyway...Yesterday was the pumpkin patch. Very fun, very autumnal n stuff.

The kids got good report cards; especially Trev who got honor roll. It's like things are going way too good for us.

I'm the supervisor at work starting today. I didn't get a real promotion, but it's a start.

I'm off in 1 hour and 8 minutes. Yay.

ghey

Today is Sunday and I'm not tired, hungover, grumpy or anything. I love Sunday. I love it more than the rest of the days that I work and I don't mind coming in here on a weekend day. It's always quiet, people are nicer, I'm not at home dreading Monday and it makes my work week almost over before other people are almost done with their work week. It's funny how sometimes people are jealous of my days off, but what they don't take into account is that I'm working while they sleep, I'm working while they dread Monday. I'm working while they're home cooking dinner...so when I'm off, it's pretty fuckin cool, but it's not "lucky".

Dad had his surgery Friday. I hated seeing him in so much pain. He's supposed to be all strong. He's the pater familia!! I'm sure he'll bounce right back from this but it's going to take patience on the part of him and my mom too. I just want to help them...I hope they'll let me.

I saw Kill Bill yesterday. That was a gory bunch of fun. I can't wait til Feb. for the next part. I would have gladly watched the entire 5 hours of movie just to see it all. I guess they're smart though, now we have to pay twice.

the horror (scope)

Today will be a day to put between parentheses, a kind of decompression chamber in which you can take stock. Take advantage of it Krystal: sort out things and remember! Try to see what still motivates you and what doesn't help you much in your life. In your sentimental life, get away from routine, look inside of yourself or get some air to avoid conflict. Everything will push you to run away from concessions - at least for an instant...
