Impromptu
Just when you think life couldn't get any better it does.
Yesterday I slept til 1. The kids had already started cleaning when I woke up, which was a real plus. I didn't have to scream at the top of my lungs either, they just did it.
I pulled a slick one on em and told them to keep cleaning and I'd run over to the eye dr. to drop off Jake's glasses (again) and be RIGHT back. Well once I made my escape (in my pj's still of course), I also went over to the rec dept. to sign Kendall up for gymnastics (which was cancelled this time, boo) and then to slap shotz (I did not add that z, they did) and then to the grocery store. GO ME!
All the while I was on the phone telling the kids all of the cool things they could do to help w/ the house. When I got home the house was clean!
Around 3:30 Teddy showed up. Around 5:30 Xeno showed up just as I was cutting things up for dinner. Alex came shortly after and started cooking. Stacy and her kids were here, then Becky showed up and thennnnn Peggy showed up and thennnnn we had awesome fajita food stuffs and Jen showed up and thennnnnn we had fried twinkies and thennnnnnnnnnn Manda and Jason showed up. Then everyone left and went home by 1:30 and we all went to sleep. It was a huge fun impromptu that started with Alex saying "I'm in the mood to make some wraps". You can't beat it.
Today we have to get the boys some shoes, meet Susan and her son for lunch and finish getting ready for the river. Mostly it's all done, I just need to get lunch meat, beer and something for dinner tonight. I can just feel the relaxtion corsing through my veins.
